Here’s a little recap of Alexandria & Mark’s September 11th wedding at the New Haven Lawn Club in New Haven, CT.  Thanks to Joe Catapano for assisting me on this one! I met Alexandria and Mark via skype since they live abroad and didn’t get to meet them in person until a few days before their wedding!  We became fast friends though and to my surprise I found out that both Mark and his best man Alex are professional photographers in the United Kingdom (hence the 50 camera’s around his neck in the pic below!).  Congratulations Alexandria & Mark! Cindy and Alex had their ceremony and reception over at the Highlands Country Club up in Garrison, New York.  It was a great spot, surrounded by their golf course, a fabulous patio and a really comfortable space inside.   One of my favorite details: the firepits they had outside as the evening went on.  Congratulations Cindy & Alex… I had a great time spending the day with you!

I met up with Cindy & Alex over at the Bear Mountain Bridge for their engagement session earlier this summer.  There are some spectacular views from there and it made quite the unique backdrop to their engagement shoot.  Cindy and Alex had their wedding at the Highlands Country Club just up the road and that’ll be hitting the blog soon as well.  For now, enjoy the view!

I had the pleasure of shooting Emily and Pat’s wedding at the Saltwater Farm Vineyard in Stonington, CT.  Although Hurricane Earl loomed in the distance, we had a wonderful day and came away with some amazing visuals. Emily and Pat were so great to work with and you could tell they genuinely enjoyed their day.  Saltwater Farm Vineyard is such a unique backdrop for a wedding, and working along side the always talented Carla Ten Eyck and her team of Mike Romano and Rebecca Hales made the experience that much more fun.  Congratulations Emily & Pat, Thanks for letting me share in your special day!

Carla Ten Eyck and her team get together every once in a while to shoot each other’s families. I love that they do this, it’s such a great idea.  Photographers obviously love taking pictures and are always capturing other families but ironically can’t shoot their own unless they want to photoshop themselves into the shot.  This summer, Carla and her studio got together at Buttonwood Farms during their sunflower display – which I might add is pretty awesome to see in person. You can tell there’s a lot of love to go around in this group and I was honored to tag along and film their hijinks. Sunflowers for Wishes

I spent some time with Justin & Mary Marantz during their Walk Through a Wedding Workshop here in New Haven, CT a few weeks back and put together this behind the scenes recap video. The workshop is pretty thorough and walks everyone through the day, from their arrival on the scene, all the way to the reception and cake cutting. I had an awesome time this past Memorial Day Weekend shooting Sara & Andy’s wedding over at the Stamford Museum and Nature Center in Stamford, CT.  They decked the whole place out with the help of Sierra and Juliet from Poppies and Posies floral and event design.  Every detail reflected Sara and Andy… from the all Beatles playlist for the day, to the floral arrangements in vintage tins – from the menu (consisting of mac & cheese and late night english muffin pizzas provided by my good friend David Donnelly of Pane E Panini) to the planetarium shows throughout the night.  You can tell they enjoyed the whole process and threw one hell of a party for their friends and families!  Thanks Sara & Andy!

I had the great pleasure of shooting Erin & Gino’s wedding a few weeks ago over at Amarante’s Sea Cliff in New Haven, CT.  We started off down in Norwalk for the ceremony and then headed down to New Haven later in the day – stopping off at the Lighthouse Point Park.

This guy always had an awesome smile for me… I couldn’t sneak up on him.

I was totally digging the brown pinstripes… Gino is a graphic designer (He’s good with color).

Just to show how cool Erin & Gino are… they had custom made cufflinks for all the groomsmen that related to their favorite comics or video games.  (P.S. “Popeye RULEZ”)

We also had two newborns that were only week(s) old.  Couldn’t help but sneak a few shots of them too!

It was a little windy at Lighthouse Point but we had some great light and found just the right spot after a short walk

I actually went to high school with Gino and a few of his groomsmen as well (hence the gratuitous photos coming up soon.)  I also went to High School with Steve Fernino of Music in Motion who did a fantastic job with the uplighting in this place…. it really kicked up my reception photos!

And now for the gratuitous photos…  Who can resist shooting their high school buddies with a 14mm? Not me.

I worked up this short montage of our shoot in Central Park in NYC and mixed in a little video I managed to shoot throughout the day.
